JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer 3 - Assembly and Installation

LOCATION: San Antonio, TX

PAY RATE: $68/hour

Summary:

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) supporting product development, complex producibility studies, and production/tooling strategies

• Refine, validate, coordinate, and implement conceptual designs while managing program architecture for build

• Develop and optimize manufacturing plans to ensure process capability meets design and production requirements

• Conduct complex producibility and variation analyses

• Resolve complex technical and manufacturing challenges

• Act as a project manager to ensure contract requirements, specifications, design criteria, and schedule performance are met

• Support advanced design solutions and research new product or business opportunities

• Deploy Lean Enterprise analysis methods and document producibility best practices

• Provide technical guidance and structured mentoring to team members

• Implement design and build plan changes while minimizing disruption and maximizing value through cross-functional collaboration

• Integrate changes across affected commodities and execute Build Integration milestones

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports

• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes

• Support Build Integration execution by providing visibility into active engineering design changes and associated milestone risks

• Ensure engineering changes progress through required review and approval processes

• Facilitate collaboration and integration across impacted commodities

• Develop and implement manufacturing plans

• Create installation plans and provide shipside installation support in San Antonio

• Support team performance through participation in process and tool improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain clearance

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline (ABET preferred) with 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience (e.g., Master's + 3 years or PhD) will be considered

• ABET accreditation preferred but not required

• 2 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

• 2 3+ years of experience supporting development of engineering technical data packages for aircraft parts and components

• 2 3+ years of experience utilizing professional technical writing skills and collaborating to resolve technical issues

• Experience using CATIA

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 3+ years of experience with IVT

• Experience with GoldESP

• Manufacturing engineering experience at Boeing

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
